...if it's in ice cream form. I'll take vanilla any day. Or mint chocolate chip.

Making the Rounds

As I sit at my desk, I can hear it raining outside. Life is good.

It's Friday. That means Ghost Adventures and AMC's Fear Friday. Tonight's movie is The Hills Have Eyes 2.

Whether I watch it tonight or not is still up for debate.

Suddenly Busy

Appy lolly pollogies (I know Nadsat too well) for irregular posting. I have a new phone I'm trying to break in and a party to prepare for this Saturday.

So, enjoy this odd little stop motion clip on how to make spaghetti.

Yum?

Not Much Happening

Now reading: Frankenstein by Mary Shelley (like I said I would).

Then I will probably end up watching this:

Or this:

Or even THIS:

On a non-Frankenstein note for you good feeling people, The Help is coming out at the end of August. I think it looks interesting.

I'm hopeful.

Spooky Time

Less than one hundred days until Halloween, and I'm beginning my preparations. Happily, a couple of my favorite musicians seem to be getting ready too.

Today Rufus Rex, another band created by Curtis Rx (from Creature Feature), has released a new single from their (his?) debut album. It's titled "Worlds In-Between".

The song is available here, on the Rufus Rex Bandcamp page, and is a name your own price download. But I'm sure Curtis would be happy for you to at least donate a dollar, since it's going towards the Rufus Rex album. Which in turn will make me happy, especially if the album is released by Halloween.

Also, Midnight Syndicate is also releasing a new album August 2 called Carnival Arcane. Here is their first preview track titled "Freakshow":

You can already pre order the album, as well as get a t shirt.

So, that concludes today's free promotions. I do it because I support what I love.

On both parts, I am excited.

Nothing Could Motivate Me More

I'm not a gamer. At all. Sure, I got through the Black Ops campaign, but I was on the easiest setting and in the presence of someone who played better than me. However....

I would start playing Mortal Kombat for this:

Just add Jason, and all my Freddy-beating-the-living-crap-out-of-Jason dreams come true.

"Where Is My Billy?"

Is it weird that now want a ventriloquist dummy just like the one in this movie??

Apparently, Questions Need To Be Answered

For those of you who aren't up to speed...

I know there are Potter fans out there. Don't lie. You know who you are.

If A Zombie Could Cry...

what would it cry about?

I'm not big on zombies, but bloody tears always seem to get me.

Never Again.... Until Next Time

Okay, okay, I swear this is the last Watchmen-related post for a while.

Maybe until tomorrow. Who knows.

Both very funny guys and amazing actors.

Book Club Tuesday

I finally finished The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien today, making a total three times I've read it (yes, I do keep count). All in all, it's an okay book, one I will probably read again someday, when the feeling strikes me. Anyway, it resurfaces this thing I have with reading a book then watching the movie adaptation (surely there's a shorter way to say that). For example, last week I re-read Watchmen and then had to go re-watch the movie. Hence, Team Rorschach, as I mentioned in the previous post.

(via TheShopkeeper on DeviantArt.... yes, if you must know, I love that site. The fanart is both awesome and hilarious. Except some of the slashes. Like Cephalic Carnage's video for "Ohrwurm", that is seen cannot be unseen.)

Although there are some old movies for The Hobbit, I'm holding out for the new movie coming out next year.

(current logo, via Wikipedia)

Yes, I'll have to wait a while to see it, but I've waited for many a movie to be released.

In the meantime, I've started reading The Egypt Game by Zilpha Keatley Snyder.

I have no idea what it's about, as I bought it my freshmen year of high school while in my Ancient Egyptian phase. It has been sitting in my closet all this time, waiting to be read. I am obliged.

After this, I plan to go old school horror with Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, but that all depends on my mood when I get there.

As my list of books to read grows ever longer (I added at least ten more books yesterday), do you guys have any suggestions for me? Maybe another graphic novel or some non Stephen King (not that I don't like him; I'm pretty sure all of his books I either own or are on my list) horror I can sink my teeth into? What are you reading at the moment?

My Version of Will It Blend?

Here's something I found hidden away in my abundance of internet favorites. If you've seen it before, good for you. If you haven't, I present to you...

ALIEN VS POOH!!!

Adorable. The whole story can be found here.

This also comes at an opportune time for other movie mash ups I have noticed that would be either majorly awesome or complete shit. The reason for my discoveries comes from the resurfacing of my quiet obsession with Watchmen. Team Rorschach FTW.

Poor Draco. If only he realized what movie muggles are capable of...

Watchmen and Harry Potter (via enterlameprofilename via DeviantArt)

I laughed.

And finally, one I've posted before, but deserves to be posted again:

Watchmen meets The Dark Knight.

More specifically, The Joker vs Rorschach.

Two of my favorite comic book characters going head to head (er, face to face?)? Pity this isn't a real movie.

And yes, I know, the mash ups here are narrow, but they're the ones I want to see. Anyone have any other possible movie mash suggestions?

Here They Are Again

RED has released another video for their Faceless album.

I feel like I'm bombarding you with these guys, but they're really good. And the only ones out of my VIP area who have released something.

Enjoy!

I Still Slightly Freaked Out

I was starting to panic (I am absolutely horrified of The Exorcist), but then I laughed my ass off.

And Just Sang Along

While I am a metalhead to boot, I'm also a country girl at heart. I would give up meeting Vinnie Paul for Loretta Lynn, and I still wear my boots and cowboy hat when I feel the need to. That is why I love this song.

Happy 4th, everybody.
