Exciting Times

Because of this commercial being played repeatedly...

I have discovered a new genre of music that no one has told me about.

Electro swing.

"Booty Swing" by Parov Stelar

Now I don't really like electronic music. I never have. But this... Where did this come from and why didn't anyone tell me about it?

"Sunny Side of the Street" by Shazalakazoo

I am torn. Metal me wants to hate this with a passion. Big band/swing me wants to cheer and dance like a mad woman. As I said above, electronic music is not my forte. But this is so... damn... catchy.

Grr.

Thoughts? What's everyone else's opinion?

Thou Shall Not Fall

"Cry Little Sister" by Gerard McMann

Plans for today? Studying. That time again, my friends. A new semester. First full week of class and I already have an exam. Hooray...

In the meantime, I would so love to go see The Artist. As a strong lover of silent films, this is already a favorite, and all I've seen is the trailer.

Ah, yes. They don't make them like they use to. Um, er, I mean....

HA, I guess they do now.

If anybody has seen it, how was it?

Popcorn Day!

Yep, tonight, I'm gonna pop me a bag of popcorn and settle in for a movie. I'm feeling like The Wizard of Oz is in store.

Oh, I suppose I'll keep tabs on the Mavericks game. But singing munchkins are a tiny bit more entertaining. Oh, sure, there's a tall German playing, but you guys... singing munchkins. Dude. Yes.

Am I wrong?

Side note: I want a ventriloquist dummy. Either Slappy from Goosebumps or Billy from Dead Silence. Just so I can set them somewhere and see people's reactions. Or maybe take them out in a stroller and see what happens. They are adorable.

Oh yeah!

Updates

So, apparently "Once Upon a Time" is kinda a good show. Bit of an understatement there. I just started watching it last night, thanks to Hulu, and didn't stop watching until about 3:30 this morning. It has quite an unique premise and interesting interconnection between the characters. I've never been so upset with a TV villain. Rumpelstiltskin is becoming my favorite character. Creepy guy. Mr. Gold isn't that bad looking either.

Classes start next week. But that's the least of my problems. I'm back in my apartment and it is a MESS. I need some major organization and a new layout. And some quieter neighbors.

I'm searching for a good (at least decent) Nazi zombie movie. Call of Duty: Black Ops: Zombies has got me in the mood. Anyone know of one? I'm not big on zombies, but make them Nazis and suddenly I'm interested. I can't tell you why. I got my hopes up for an upcoming (this term is used loosely since technically it has been completed for a few years, just not released) one called War of the Dead, and I've also got my eye on Outpost. Otherwise, there seems to be a serious (well, I think it's serious) shortage of good (again, at least decent) Nazi zombie movies.

Until then, Wall-E it is.

It's All Relative To The Size of Your Steeple

"The Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson

It's someone's birthday today! Here's to one of our favorite shock rockers until Lady Gaga came along.

Time To Start Again

Ah, the smell of a new year. What to do, what to do? I suppose it's resolution time.

So, my resolutions for 2012? Here they are:

1. More ghost hunting and furthering my knowledge and research on the paranormal and demonology.
This is a deep passion of mine. Every since I was a young girl, I have been drawn to and interested in the paranormal and the unknown. Only recently have I been able to seriously expand and go in the direction I want to. There are so many questions I want answered, and in this area, the only way to get them (I feel) is through personal exploration. As for the demonology... Well, let's just say that if worst comes to worst, I want to know what I'm up against.

2. Decide if I am on the actual career path that I am happy with.
I am currently a student under the BCIS major. But is it the right major? I've already changed once, and I hate being indecisive. The money may be good, sure, but I'm one of those people who just wants to be happy with what I do.

3. Find a job.
Basically, I need income.

4. Read more.

5. Cook more.
Home made stuff, not that microwave shit. It gets repetitive and boring after a while.

6. Be more creative.
I mean this in the way of actually doing the projects I come up with, instead of letting them sit in my bookmarks while the supplies rot in a corner.

What a start. I certainly have this coming year cut out for me.

What about my droogs? Have you got any resolutions or suggestions you'd like to share?

The infamous "Brown Lady" of Raynham Hall. Faked or not, it's still an impressive picture.
