Down Time

I haven't been posting like I should, I know, I know. But this semester is starting to come to a close, which mean more tests, longer essays, and less blogging. Sad day, but Thanksgiving is coming up, so I foresee break time. Also, I'm slowly preparing for Creepmas, which is sure to be fun.

So you guys forgive me right? Of course you do, droogies.

Release date is Feburary 3, 2012 (at the moment). That shit is going on my calender. I have no idea what this movie is about, and I want to see it. LOVE me some Victorian-esque Gothic horror.

Plus, it's Daniel Radcliffe's first role out of Harry Potter and it's a horror movie. Makes me like him even more. 

What do you guys think?

EDIT: Just discovered it was based on a book. Yay for discovering new reading material!!

Melancholy

Halloween is officially over. There's decorations to take down, costumes to put away, and it's back to focusing on the school work I've been slightly neglecting. *sigh*

I must admit, I had a grand old time scaring people at the bridge last night, and even joined forces with another group with the same intentions to frighten people. Needless to say, my sinuses now hate me, but that's the small price to pay for wonderful, ghoulish memories. 

To ease myself out of the Halloween mood, tonight I'm attempting to watch All The King's Men (2006). It's been in my queue for about a month now, so I feel it's time to get to it.

Alright, alright, you got me. Honestly, the only reason I am watching this is because I know Jackie Earle Haley plays a small part in it, and he's slowly turning into one of my favorite actors. I'm not big on political films. Although I did find Frost/Nixon surprisingly good. 

Anyone else feeling the effects of Halloween ending? Anyone already planning for next year?

Today is All Saints' Day. My saint of choice for this year is Saint Patrick.

Shivering In Antici...

...pation.

It's almost here, my droogies. One more night and Halloween will unleash its... er, Halloween-ness. Today will be the final movie night, as I am not planning to watch movies on dear Samhain. No, I have more sinister plans.

Yep. I shoved aside John Carpenter's Halloween for Trick 'r Treat. But I like the concept of a movie actually about Halloween better than a movie that just happens to take place on Halloween. As you could probably guess, this is one of my favorite holiday themed movies. It's original, clever, and gives Halloween an awesome mascot in a way. My future children better prepare to be dressed up as Sam.

I'm excited. Tomorrow, I'm wearing my Freddy Krueger sweater to class. Since it has also been chilly the last couple of days, it's doubling as a source of warmth. Then I'm changing into a black robe and heading for an old haunted bridge on the other side of town with a couple of friends. Why? It's Halloween. People will go there to get scared. I feel obliged help them achieve their goal. It should be fun. 

What is everyone else's plans? Trick or treating? Handing out candy? Awesome parties?
