Too Bad I'm On A Boat

Can you believe this movie is nearly twenty years old? Twenty. And it still beats a majority of today's CGI. I remember getting this baby on VHS for Christmas when I was a little tyke. One of the first movies I ever owned. Still a great film to this day, although I got it on DVD now. Yeah, I'm still fending off Blu Rays. I can only handle so much advancement.

Tomorrow the first day of October, meaning I will be doing my very absolute best to bring you a bite of Halloween up to the day itself.

I have such sights to show you...

Feeding the Machine

I've been down with an ear infection for the past few days. Been doing what work I needed to, sleeping, and drinking tea. But I'm better now. Just in time for....

NATIONAL COFFEE DAY!!!!

Keurig coffee...

Plus cappuccino...

Plus creamer...

Equals MAGIC.

It was the best morning I've had all week.

And yes, I do have two coffee makers.

Don't judge.

National One Hit Wonder Day

Who's celebrating?

"Keep Your Hands To Yourself" by The Georgia Satellites

"Der Kommissar" by After the Fire

"In the Summertime" by Mungo Jerry

Yeah, I'm slightly biased towards one hit wonders from the 80s (with the exception of Mungo Jerry). So much fun.

Alles klar, Herr Kommissar?

Basically Describes Today

I tried. I really tried. But Law & Order: SVU was having a marathon and I also ended up watching Session 9, Corpse Bride, and Thirteen Ghosts.

But I did get my philosophy paper done...

Yay me??

Woot Woot

Breaking my silence. I got done with all my homework today and I'm watching Ghost Adventures. Stumbled upon this little gem...

Johnny Depp, Helen Bonham Carter, and Jackie Earle Haley??? As well as possible roles by Christopher Lee and Alice Cooper????

I think I may want to watch Dark Shadows.

Hurm...

Alright, I'm going to have to start implementing a new plan (at least until October) for my blogging. This week has become terribly busy with school work, and I have to have priorities. As much as I hate to put P&J Productions on the back stove, some things need to change in order for me to succeed in keeping scholarships and whatnot. So, P&J is taking a break for the rest of the week in order to catch up with other areas of life.

However, I do have many wonderful things lined up, especially for October. I'm participating in the Countdown to Halloween for 2011, and am going to bring you many wonderfully horrific (and non-horrific) Halloween related posts.

Until (hopefully) next week, my little droogies, I bid you adieu.

On The Fence

Part of me wants to love this movie to death.

The other part is screaming, "NO! IT WILL BE NOTHING LIKE THE BOOK. I do not recall a flying ship."

But, I will give it the benefit of the doubt. New interpretations are always exciting, and some of them are pretty damn good. Plus, this is coming from the guy who gave us Resident Evil, so we'll see where it goes.

I wonder, if this does well, would there be a second installment concerning a certain man in an iron mask? Maybe musketeers will become the new cool, just like pirates did in 2003?

Thoughts?

We Could Have So Much Fun

As I'm sure we all know by now, I'm not a Jason fan. However, I would get this hoodie, if only to freak people out when I decided to face the outside.

Marc Ecko

It seems to be a once in a life time grab from back in 2009, but still. Can someone please direct me to a much cheaper version? Just give me a friend and this hoodie; I got my Freddy sweater in the closet. We can head down to the park and make a sequel. Freddy vs Jason 2: Freddy Kicks Jason's Ass.

As it should have been in the first place.

Recognition

I don't really find Saturday Night Live as funny as I used to, but it still has some good sketches once in a while. Only recently have I discovered how much I miss Jimmy Fallon being on the show.

Cleaning day just got a little better.

Sidenote: Starting the day off with some rock covers of 80s songs. "Cry Little Sister" by Seasons After is my favorite so far.

But I need more. Recommendations, anyone?
