I'm not sure if I mean that sarcastically or not.
I ended up with a band by the name of Sri Lanka Navy with an album called "Innocent as Doves", which, actually, wouldn't make a bad title.
The original Flickr photo is called "Sad Face", which you can view here, as well as some other cool photos the photographer has done.

Finally! I got off my high I-can't-buy-shit-because-I'm-a-broke-college-student-who-can-somehow-afford-really-expensive-alcohol-like-absinthe-and-rum horse and ordered the sixth book in the 30 Days of Night series.
I haven't actually started reading it yet, but I'm looking forward to the experience.
What is on my lovely followers' reading lists?

More updates on the plague doctor mask, this time from another angle.
I added padding on the inside, made from an old tshirt I cut up.
A quasi-band made from some old jeans. I'm not putting too much faith in it, so I'll have to work something out.
Hopefully tonight I'll get done with the rest of the padding, and then I can focus on a cowl.

I'm in the mood for something pleasantly classic and with a happy ending. The Wizard of Oz it is.
What is everyone else watching? Did anyone see The Lords of Salem this weekend? If so, how was it? I wanted to see it, but none of the theaters near me are showing it. Sad. Now I have to wait for it to release on DVD.

Mine is The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I don't know what that says about me, but... yeah.
It's a rather awkward moment when you begin to think Tim Curry looks better in lingerie than you do.
Anyone else care to share their favorite Curry movie?

Something unnatural has returned to this place
An archaic consuming color out of space
From beyond the cosmos a deadly presence waits
The blink of an eye comes the end to our fledgling race

Two coats of white paint, with black accents. The end is in sight! I just have to figure out how to attach bands to keep it on my head. I think I may start on another one to see if I can make any improvements. I would like for it to cover my head a little more, and perhaps make different eyeholes. Then it's off to work on the costume!

Finally! After a few days of thinking, I finally figured out a way to make the beak of my mask and not have it be too heavy.
I decided to bundle up a page of newspaper and shape it into a beak-ish looking thing and use the paper mache paste to initially keep it in place.
Then I covered it in paper mache strips to anchor it in place and keep it together. Once it dries I will put two more layers on it and then paint it.
Anyone else working on any exciting projects?
