It's So Inconvenient

Today I made it to Nashville, Tennessee. Not that I particularly want to be here; I would have rather stayed in Gettysburg, but I was voted against. this is what I get for living with people who listen to country music. I'm only happy we missed going to the Grand Ol' Opry.

Although, on a higher note (by only slightly; you'll see why in a second) we went on a tour of the Maker's Mark Distillery in Kentucky. Me being painfully underage by a smudge mean I couldn't go to the tasting. BUT I did get something to make up for it a bit. Bourbon coffee. And bourbon chocolate.

Yummy. My night is set.

I Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

Alright, alright, I know. I haven't posted in a couple days. But, with good reason. I've moved from Hershey on to Gettysburg and am trying to plan my future "Haunts Across America" roadtrip. Right now I'm sitting outside in quasi darkness with campfire smoke blowing into my face. Bear with me here.

Like I said, I'm in Gettysburg, home to the bloodiest battle on American soil. And supposedly very haunted. SO.... I'm excited. As you've probably figured out, I love and have a passion for haunted places. Gettysburg has been on my list for a while.

Because I just got here, I have not been anywhere, except General Pickett's Buffet (which was surprisingly good, for a buffet) and the world's largest military diorama (I have some pictures from it, but my computer decided to rebel, so I can't post them right now).

Speaking of which, I have a few pictures up on my DeviantArt (if you must know, I also moonlight as an amateur digital photographer) of my trip so far for you to gawk at, and maybe, if you're feeling kind or find it to your liking, purchase. There are also other pictures from a few other adventures there as well. Just thought I'd let you know.

And to make up for not posting these past few days, here's a very, very creepy video I was made aware of recently:

That's what I like!

2011 Summer Roadtrip: Day 12

Today's place of interest: Philadelphia, PA.

We went to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, blah, blah, blah...

EASTERN STATE PENITENTIARY!!!!

I love this place. I am definitely going back someday, preferably on my terms and in the dark.

2011 Summer Roadtrip: Day 11

Today we made it to Hershey, PA, the most chocolatey place in the world. In all reality, not much happened. We saw a 3D movie, made our own chocolate bars (the bottom picture), toured a museum where I designed my own Hershey's wrapper (the top picture), and wondered if the Amish knew anything about Bigfoot...

Oh, and I've also decided to christen myself an honorary Cherokee Indian (because you can so totally do that). I shall call myself Little Crazy Horse.

Meanwhile, my family is seriously considering having me committed to an asylum.

EDIT: Upon the discovery of Ryan Dunn's death (as I am not far from the site where it happened), my most sincere prayers go out to his friends and family.

Eius anima requiscat in pace.

2011 Summer Roadtrip: Day 10

I just realized today is Sunday. I usually make a habit of not blogging on the weekends, but vacations seem to be the exception.

Anywho, I'm stuck in Lancaster, PA, for about a week, amid the Amish and whatnot. Pretty country, but I'm actually kind of missing Savannah's Spanish moss.

I don't know what exact plans lay in store for me, but I know they include Hershey (chocolate!), Philadelphia (history!), and Gettysburg (GHOSTS!).

I also have half the mind to find myself an Amish boy to corrupt. Heaven knows I should be locked up.

Moving on, Rob Zombie has made a commercial...

We need more horrorfide commercials.

2011 Summer Roadtrip: Day 9

Tonight we stopped in Fort Chriswell, Virginia, while on our merry way to Hershey, Pa. Needless to say the interstates have not been smooth, but I did manage to make a playlist (called Death, Dead, and Dying: Songs of Passing) and, while stopped, finished a sketch of a painting I want to do:

Ah, I love being inspired by what I do.

A pretty view from our camper:

Now all I want to do is sleep.

2011 Summer Roadtrip: Day 8

Alright, yesterday was pretty awesome. I bought a few things by the riverside and had two guys offer to buy me beer (tempting, but no. I'm with someone I can't leave at the moment, thank you).

I also ate at The Pirate's House, the oldest house in Savannah, which I HIGHLY recommend. It's also said to be haunted, but nothing happened while I was there.

The night ended with a haunted carriage tour, which was spooky, entertaining, as well as educational. I now know where a couple good ghost hunts will be on my next trip here!

Today I went to the beach on Tybee Island. More fun than I expected, and I don't think I've burned my pale, vampire-like skin. Yet. I also got sand in a few places I would rather not have sand. Ew.

Tonight the group is eating seafood, again. I told them we already had it two nights in a row and they could just eat at Red Lobster when they get back home.

But, nooo. "It's not the same!"

Whatever. All it means is I'm having shrimp.

Again.

2011 Summer Roadtrip: Day 7

I am in the beautiful, but terribly hot Savannah, Georgia. At the moment, my roadtrip might be in the process of being cut short, but as long as I make it to the mountains, I'm ok.

I'm also being harrassed by a group of girl scouts and an old bible thumper. So is today a good day? We'll see how it goes.

2011 Summer Roadtrip: Day 4

In Natchez, Mississippi, we learned how the North won the Civil War. By punching the South in the face.

Just to Feel Your Heart Beat Part 2

Well, they've done it again. One of the songs in my VIP area has finally got a music video.

RED has really outdone themselves this time. They're getting better and better as time goes by.

One Could Only Hope

I wish all Eminem songs were this awesome. I would listen to him more often.

Now I'm itching to listen to Rammstein....

It Requires Rum

I love how all the people just go with it. Nice to see Kermit is still going strong after all these years.

Nothing's Getting Done Today

Keeping in vein of my ghostly week, Ghost Hunters is having a marathon all day.

I love this show.
